After breakfast, we will take a boat ride on the Río de la Plata, where we’ll see the Jorge Newbery Airport, named after the pioneer of Argentine aviation, from the river. We will navigate through the Paraná Delta, passing through San Antonio, Sarmiento, and Luján.
On our way, we will stop in Tigre, often referred to as the "Argentine Venice." Here, boats serve as a mode of public transport, ferrying locals from the mainland to the surrounding islands and back. We’ll visit the fruit market, stroll along the waterfront, and find a charming monument to capybaras, as well as the La Marina Rowing Club building, founded in the late 19th century by wealthy British immigrants. We will also check out a small museum located in the former casino and hotel building.
After Tigre, we will continue by boat along the Paraná River to our overnight stop in the city of Rosario. Along the way, we’ll discuss 20th-century art in Latin America.
In Rosario, we will check into a boutique hotel, have dinner, and unwind after our long journey.
